Who handles your data

What data and why

Requests from the site (trial lesson, quote): name, email, phone if you give it, who plays, your preferences and message. They are used to answer you and arrange the trial (pre-contractual steps, art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Students’ area: name and email of the family’s adults; the students’ name, date of birth, violin size and notes; lessons, homework, practice time, questions, uploaded files, paid lesson blocks, replies to events. They are used to organise and follow the lessons (performance of the contract, art. 6(1)(b)).

Emails and notifications: reminders, changes of time, answers, announcements. You choose which ones you receive in the settings.

Children

Children’s data is entered and managed by their parents. A child under 14 gets their own login only with a parent’s consent (art. 2-quinquies of the Italian privacy code), which is recorded. Parents always see everything about their children.

Who else sees the data

Nobody sells it or uses it for advertising. Only the providers the service needs process it on the controller’s behalf: the server hosting the students’ area and files (in the European Union), the email delivery service, Expo for phone notifications and, when the agenda is connected, Google Calendar, which sends the lesson invitations.

How long

Students’ area data is kept while the family takes lessons and deleted within 12 months after they end, or earlier if you ask. Requests from the site that don’t lead to lessons are deleted after 12 months. Backups are overwritten within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to its use and receive it in a readable format: in the students’ area settings you download a copy of everything and delete the account. For anything else write to +39 327 549 0774.

You can also complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

Cookies and statistics

The site uses no profiling cookies and no statistics. The students’ area uses only a technical cookie to keep you signed in, and the browser’s storage for theme, language and the practice timer.
